It is unfortunate that women's health has become big business. I no longer trust that government approval means that a drug or procedure is safe. I no longer trust that breast cancer researchers are operating with the true intent of putting themselves out of a job.

I was thinking the same thing. A rather critical detail to omit from a story about a politician, but I assumed Democrat because of the omission. Absolutely right that the party affiliation would have been headline fodder if it had been a Republican.

There never was any intention from the President to cooperate If there had been, he would not have picked this date to propose a speech.

He offered no solutions and attacked the plan put forth by Ryan with hysterical speculation. This was a campaign speech.

I don't think we have a right to second guess the decision of a mother watching her child suffer, knowing the medicine she is giving him is making him sick. I also don't think we have the right to presume he would have lived. The survival rate is not 100%, it is 85-90%.
